My Sony VAIO F series: Kracht om te creëren. Kracht om te entertainen–

Powerful, fast, multimedia desktop replacement notebook. Suitable for students and gamers– like me. But this is not the notebook you love to carry around regularly. Why?
- it is really heavy and bulky: about 4 kg. (including accessories)
- it has a really low battery life… about 2 hours in 80% charge…
It is my second year here in Belgium and I am becoming more of a ‘traveler student’. Most of the time in a day, I have to travel to the three universities where I’m enrolled– Universiteit Antwerpen, Universiteit Gent, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel– that’s a lot of time spent in the bus, tram, metro, or train! I don’t want to waste my time on the train doing nothing (sleeping). So, I finally decided to buy a new netbook. One that is light and suited for students that are always on the go, like me!
Everyone, meet my Samsung NC110:

The features I love about my new netbook:
- it is very portable and light (1.18 kg)
- it has a 6-cell battery– which means long battery life (up to 9 hours)
- it boots quickly
The downside of course is that it cannot do CPU-intensive applications (e.g., Photoshop) or tough gaming for that matter– but that’s of course not the main reason why I bought this netbook. The point here is portability– my travel buddy that makes me productive, keeping me company especially in those times when I’m in transit. And, by the way, it’s a great value for money— it cost me around € 350 (including the genuine Microsoft Office 2010 Professional)…
